When Do Scottish Post Offices Open Again After New Year

Just wondering when Scottish Post Offices reopen after New Year as different websites say different dates.
I think there are no mail deliveries till the 5th January but I need toTax my car so wondered if the Post Office would be open before then.

If 3rd and 4th are bank holidays (they are in Scotland right?) then Post Offices will certainly not be open.

I live in Scotland and my post office opens on Wednesday as did this week also.

^ PS tax your car on-line now instead of waiting to go to the PO, it's dead easy through the DVLA website then if you are stopped, the police will be able to check via computer that you have already paid.
