nice to have this while the numbers are being crunched, found it enjoyable but is there another possibility for the word under the grid? my highlighted thematic [which i'm not entirely happy with - although i like the shape] pretty much duplicates the obvious.

Bellabee - I think "identifying the overall theme" makes the "last" unambiguous - as in the owner. I would argue one possibility is missing, but this is a six letter word like the one to be highlighted. Certainly an enjoyable one after the triangles.

serpentinew, hello. i have deviated from arabic for the highlighted one and have a scimitar shape. this together with the title seemed to me to have covered everything. have you actually completed the triangles? it's clearly a tough challenge judging from the thread - i couldn't even crack the preamble.
Question Author
sorry, meant setter not title
My take on the one to be highlighted was much simpler and given by the word "located" - i.e the setter - with Hatsya missing.
Hi bellabee
Like you I'm struggling to find the thematic answer to be highlighted.
Not to give too much away to people who are still doing the crossword - there are nine 'things' which make up the theme, seven are unclued (which we've both done), one is the name of the setter, which leaves just one which should be a six letter word begining with H, is this your thinking as well?
I think the five letter word to put at the bottom is what the nine are collectively.
Does that make sense?
serpentinew, if I understand you correctly, it's your belief that the item to be highlighted is not within the grid. Is that correct?
Ripper - wouldn't that make ten?
So what we are thinking is that Hatsya isn't anywhere and that the word to be put under the grid is the overall theme (begining with 'O')
It's rather cold here, snow and all - I think my 'little grey cells' have frozen!

doing ev so iv'e just got back to this - my feeling is that as the thematics are correctly placed [the setter being the 'head'] then the missing one is the 'tip of the sword' another classification uses greek letters followed by the group name. a sword shape can be highlighted using this method in roughly the right place. my unease comes from the repetition of the group name under the grid - it seems redundant. i may be needlessly complicating this one though.
Hi, I'm new to this site and to the Inquisitor crossword puzzles.
Is there a way I can engage with someone for help on 1154 without spoiling it for others?
I have completed all the clues with the exception of one of the unlocated ones.
However, I am struggling with the thematic answers and the overall theme.
Regards,
Mark
