The clued lights were entered quickly, but because of a silly mistake at 31
the anagram took longer than it should.

Hi DocHH, good to hear you are finding time for crossword in amongst your other activities. DD, I am based in Sussex (not on the coast), so am not really spreading the net much wider. I am going to Vancouver though next weekend so can maybe do a post from there if that counts? Weather here is autumnal and pretty good today
Hi all - late with this excellent puzzle. Most challenging EV for ages.

Devadolly, I'm just down the road from you at Poulton-le-Fylde.
Really late to post this week.... and heading out again shortly - but it is all for good reasons so therefore fun! Dd I think we are a tiny bit south from you but to the west - on the edge of the Dales on the mighty Ribble. We have been experiencing very much the same sort of weather as you (although we missed it over the bulk of the weekend as we were dahn souf in lovely sunshine!). Enjoyed Charybdis' offering - always good to broaden the knowledge base even if it doesn't stay there as long as I would like!
Wow! Great stuff, finding out where you all are. Pity I can't send a few 100 lbs of apples to everyone (Christina excepted!) as I have just collected 6 buckets off the lawn after the raging gales of earlier in the week. Even the hens are sick of them and glare every time I throw another heap into their paddock!
Hi
Just listened to tonight's weather forecast - frost alert! Brrrrrr. DD, I'm based near Macclesfield in Cheshire so not a million miles away.
A very belated greeting to everyone as briefly back in Portugal. Enjoyed this week's offering though struggled a bit without my usual reference books. Thank you for your forebearance, DD, in not sending me any of the apples. I dread to think what my lawn will look like on my return (Will be back in Spilsby, Lincolnshire some time on Tuesday). Am planning to dig a runner bean trench on my return and bury all the redundant apples in it.
