outlook express

i have my e.mail coming into outlook express which works a dream apart from when i want to reply or create new mail. it allows me to write the content but when i click send it come up that it has experienced a problem and needs to close. it does this every time although it does actually send the mail. it is a pain as i have to load express up again. any clues as to why it does this?

Check the settings on your account.

Your pop3 settings are for incoming mail, your smtp settings are for outgoing mail.

You may have a slight error (or maybe extra text) on your smtp settings.
