Need some heavy heavy help. Last one.
15a. Chance of a passing breeze? (5)
I have 'SLA-T'. My Collins Dict only gives slant. No relation to the clue as far as I can see.
My 'S' is from 'outside left'. My 'L' is from 'vilely'. My 'A' is from 'estranged', and my 'T' is from 'triatic'. I am hoping that the Heavy-Hitters don't just work from Sunday to Tuesday. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Slant is a slang word for a chance, and also means a passing breeze.

Tnak you Mahonia, May I ask you where you found the relationship? Do I need to ditch my Collins Dict, where I always check on the first level.
Many thanks.
Chambers Dictionary gives both definitions ~

(i) a chance (slang) and (ii) a transitory breeze.

I will invest in a Chambers Dict. tomorrow. My heartfelt thanks to you both.
I know it wouldn't have helped with that clue but this is a good site to look for Mephisto solutions. You do need the Chambers dictionary because it is the reference for Mephisto.

I go along with the suggestion you invest in a Chambers Dictionary. All sorts of weird and wonderful words in it that are not in all other dictionaries.
