I operated a website on my old computer, Windows XP, using Macromedia Dreamweaver. I have now changed to a new computer, Windows Vista, and Macromedia Dreamweaver cannot make contact with my web site. I can use net2ftp but it is far less convenient to use. Any suggestions?

have you installed the latest vista service pack, this apparently fixed a FTP problem in vista.

Also check your Firewall Settings
Also Check that Dreamweaver is configured for Passive FTP
