I cant help, Im afraid ... I am also stuck ...
but on these two I have
25A: ?N?IVE

22D: ??UL?R

I have to admit that on 23A I have drawn a long bow ... "drug Vi rejected" I have interpreted as " ... IVE "

But then I am stuck on 20D, 24D, and 30A .....

20D I wot not of ... I thought it was Sea Beet at one time ... but that is not so ...
Equally I pin my hopes on 28A being ASTROLABE ...

and just what 9D is ... is something to really ponder ... I have: ?Y?YN

25a is onagra - on -vi- agra
22d is fautor - fau(l)t - or
20 sea belt Abel within set
9d tyiyn - tiny (anag) + y
30a = royal (two meanings)

The one I cannot get is 8d de?ago? - decagon is all that fits but I can't see it.
For 8D I have ORARIUM (11A = MYSTERY,13A = MILLIONARY, 15A = AGIN and 18A = CASEOUS)

MANY thanks for the help ... much appreciated
Demagog, Muriel. It's a variant American spelling of demagogue....agog = eagerly and dem is med(ium) backwards. (It's 7 down, by the way.)
Not 8d - rather 7d. Is it decagon?
Well, well! That's a peculiar case of "Snap!" An appropriate answer is provided at the precise moment at which the question is being re-asked. 4 hours later, I hope you've seen it, Muriel.
Thank you - most helpful.
