Hi, a few weeks ago I was behind a police car as we approached a set of traffic lights. The lights turned to red and the police car who definately wasn't on an emergency call, stopped for a few seconds than obviously got bored of waiting just carried on after checking there was nothing coming the other way! I was dying to follow them but didn't dare, can they do this without good reason?
Did you report this behaviour to the divisional commander for further investigation? Such complaints are made all the time, ie. police cars on yellow lines, police buying fish and chips, policeman picking his nose at traffic lights, etc. This sounds rather more serious and is probably recorded on a camera somewhere.
Yesterday I was overtaken by a police patrol car on a 40mph dual carriageway. I was travelling exactly 40mph, and the vehicle was not on an emergency call - it was doing about 50. It happens all the time.
if it happens again take the car reg and report them. i did when my mum in law got booked parking on doubles dropping my kids off and a police car parked on same lines 2 go get a kebab i even had the cheek 2 take pics and send them in
Earlier on this year I drove past a policeman driving a police mini-bus talking on a mobile phone, he was approaching a round-a-bout and obviously wasn't using his full concentration. It makes my blood boil.
