last night I was watching a program called "the great big quiz" on channel 5. It had a question that no one could get the right answer to so I was hoping someone could work it out! Here's the question:
I have 42 cherries, 15 cherries and a cherry. You have 25 cherries.
Lets swap cherries!
Cherry Christmas"

does anyone know the answer?! It's not 25, 83, 82, 4, 6, 58...and there are many more wrong answers...I don't understand how it could work!! So if you could reply what you think it is, I would be very grateful.
Thanks

i meant to say...the question to the riddle bit is "how many cherries"
sorry
Please, do NOT waste any more time on this. All of these quizzes are a con, the answer is never as straightforward as you would think, and they never explain themselves. In their eyes, they can justify the answer they say is right, which is why they get away with it, but in the meantime gullible people spend hundreds of pounds ringing in, and they pay wether they get through or not. I am sure that even if you knew the answer and how they arrived at it, you still wouldn't see how they did it.
I too wouldn't waste my time watching these kind of programmes - don't get me wrong i like a good quiz/game show, but i hate the kind of shows where the presenters prattle on about themselves for ever and you need to ring in at some extortionate cost which even then are not guaranteed to get chosen! Anyway, i came across this question (just by browsing!) and think this is the answer you may be looking for!!
