Sims 2 Open For Business help - Managers

Hey,
I've got a 10 star business, and whenever I ask my manager to 'mind the store', he does. BUT when I tell my sim to go home (Via his car), he shoes everyone, includng the employees, out of the shop!
Does anyone know how I can make my sim go home,w ith the business still open and the manager minding the store? Thanks in advanced.
