After a long cold damp winter, along with no end of gloom on the news. What are you looking forward to doing when the sun is back with us, or at least warmer to tempt us out and about again. It can be a big holiday away, or just something simple like spending the day in the garden. What little bit of medicine will work for you? Mine, A sunny walk in the park would do me and get my engine running again.:0>
Just want to look out on our hoardes of daffodils and the fields and woods beyond from the conservatory. I haven't left the house for over 3 months except for medical appointments.
If I'm honest it's when my July holiday abroad gets close enough to start counting down in weeks but there are also many nature things that really give me a boost before that, clumps of daffs definitely, the blossom on the trees, bluebells, first swallow, lighter evenings, feeling warmth from the sun. All of that does it for me.
Pretty much the same as Zac, sitting in the garden enjoying G&T and then a meal, feeling the sun on my back and exposing my legs and feet. The sooner I can ditch my socks the better.
Oh my garden!
Roll in March, I am off to Norfolk for a few days and on my return I will start sowing my veggies and salads.
My new job means that I can have a more flexible approach so weather dependent means I can potter outside more.
Of course my time walking the hounds will be more enjoyable.
My holidays are always September onwards
No garden, so very much the same as you nice bloke. In fact, I should get my bum out there sooner. I don't want to miss the daffs and crocus...and I MUST see the magnolia tree in bloom. All that plus warm sun and my dreadful winter mood will lift.
Almost forgot...seeing all my indoor plants putting out new shoots. I'm hoping some will bloom.
Get my bum out there? I've lost count of the times that I made my mind up the night before to get out and about the next day, and ignore the wheather. Its never worked, to ruddy cold. :0>
The same here ...i can't be bothered putting on all the damn layers of clothing. So I schedule my multiple mini shopping trips so that I have a "need"...like the cat screaming because I'm rationing his food.
That's a fib...my cat is a good boy that doesn't scream.
He just does dagger eyes.
Gardening on my balcony, I have very large planters so can grow really substantial plants. Want to include a fountain, and swap my chairs for a storage bench, plan is to create a meditation space. maybe some decking tiles
And bird watching, maybe do a few nights away in North Wales and head to Conwy RSPB.
Most evenings, I take Dylan to the local cemetery for his on lead walk. He will already have had a 1/12 hour run off lead, so this is just a little leg stretch.
At the moment the cemetery is an absolute joy to see. Aconites, snowdrops and crocus everywhere. We have a lovely time creeping round the crypts. :-)
