Hi Posters, bought a legit for the children and whilst putting it together, issues were encountered during assembling it. First a few kissing parts from the parts bag and then the parts were wrong.
Bought the Lego kit from Argos and it is a third assembled but can't finish it. Do I return the product to Argos? Anyone experience of this sort of problem?

The kit has more than 1000 pieces so a large kit and not sure that is the only issue we have faced. Maybe more missing or wrong parts if we are going to carrying on assembling other sub parts.

Obviously the kid is unhappy about the missing parts and they wanted to complete the project on Christmas day! So I am now facing a dilemma on what to do with it?
I've had kits like that in the past but have always found that it was me assembling one piece incorrectly and having to take apart. I would go backwards and reassemble first.
The great thing about Argos that I have always found is that they are happy to replace or refund. I would just take it back as is in a bag with receipt and explain. I had to take back an almost built flat pack shelving unit because of broken dowl rod. No problems getting new one as replacement.

Definitely missing parts and missing gears for the car. The gears have been supplied one missing out of the two.

Been to Argos and the customer service said that the lego are missing are quite normal. They suggested to order missing parts from lego website. Will do that.
But I am surprised that we are in 21st century and Lego still uses human to hand pick every kit.

if it was sold as a kit to build a particular thing, and parts were missing, that's down to Argos, they sold you something not fit for purpose. You don't have to send it back to Denmark, your contract was with the retailer.
Who said send it back to Denmark?

If Lego will send the bits surely its quicker than Argos sourcing them for you or changing it for another that has some missing?
