In reality, such an enormous win would probably ruin most people's lives.

If you won this much, what would you do with it ?

i wouldn't buy a ticket for fear of winning the jackpot . . .
I'd add a tenner and pay me debts off....
Find worthy causes...and individuals. Help family.
But that amount is scary.
Wouldn't ruin my life! Plenty of charities to help, no family but a few friends would benefit & never having to worry about a bill again.

I had the 2 "Lucky Stars" but not a single number. Next time, maybe...
first million to Monkey World!
//a few friends would benefit//
as an a side, i would consider myself one of your friends L-i-K ;-)

Yes, I think the suitable solution would be to retain a reasonable amount (a personal value judgement as to what constitutes this) and donate the rest to Charity(s).
You could make lots of people very happy with that amount. Yourself included, of course:-)
Ael - depends what Doris says... ;-)
An endless list of charities to choose from, and at least the money would go where you wanted it.
no odd hundreds or tens? think i would query that if i was the winner
Monkey World would be at the top of my list as well as other charities.

Buying myself a property in the North Yorkshire Dales would be a priority as well.

Oh and a weekly delivery of 7 large bags of Kettle Chips Sea Salt with Black Peppercorns;-)
Weird, that, LB. I'd also be looking to purchase a property in N Yorks - slap bang in the middle of all their wonderful racecourses:-)
Donate to animal and children's charities -give money to very best friends so that they never need worry about bills again, chuck a few million my cousin's way so he can buy his dream of a villa in Provence.
Gosh, got loads left - spa breaks, World cruise and a limo on call 24/7
driven by a Gerard Butler look-a-like. Buy a bigger piggy-bank!
Spend it unwisely.
Very nice around Middleham way ken. You could join their Racing syndicate as well.

If you invest it at minimal rates of interest you could earn about £200 thousand a week!
The problem with donating to charities is you are just making the Chief execs rub their hands in glee at a larger paypacket.

With this sort of sum far better to create your own charity and make sure it goes to the right people.

Also makes a nice legacy for yourself.
i'm always reading in our local paper about families trying to raise money for various treatments i'd love to help them ,also donate a big chunk to the hospice that cared for my son in law and the care they gave my daughter and her children .
LB, love the Middleham area - been on a few Stable Tours in that vicinity; Jedd O'Keeffe, Micky Hammond, Phil Makin, Ann Duffield, and a few others.
If i won that amount, i would be buying my own horses, there wouldn't be any need for syndicates:-)
