Keir Starmer has a difficult job on his hands trying to convince anyone that the Labour Party doesn't have anti-semitic members.
yes the left do have a problem with their pro terrorist anti Semitic wing. Rodders is wrestling with that in the Labour party.
not everyone on the left is anti-israel of course... i was going to say that not everyone who is anti-israel is like this but that is a cause which attracts lots of horrible people it seems...

dannyk13/toratoratora.... is there any proof that these were Labour members?

Being on the left does not make them Labour supporters.
Being Anti Israel does not make them anti semitic.
People judge Israel on their actions. Condemning the Government’s action does not make them anti Jew.
I didn't say they were labour members. Are we suffering from RBID?
Untitled, the article mentions hard left so it will be presumed that they will have some connection with the Labour Party. We will after wait and see whether the Labour Party reacts or not.
"the article mentions hard left so it will be presumed that they will have some connection with the Labour Party"

why? lots of people on the hard left hate labour.

"I didn't say they were labour members. Are we suffering from RBID? "

Don't know what RBID is but you came in talking about Labour...
// The crisis was triggered on 6 May, when Palestinians began protests in East Jerusalem over an anticipated decision of the Supreme Court of Israel on the eviction of six Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah. Under international law, the area, effectively annexed by Israel, is a part of the occupied Palestinian territories. Israel applies its laws there. On 7 May, according to Israel's Channel 12, Palestinians threw stones at Israeli police forces, who then stormed the compound of the al-Aqsa Mosque using tear gas, rubber bullets and stun grenades. The crisis prompted protests around the world and reactions from world leaders. //

untitled: "Don't know what RBID is but you came in talking about Labour.." - err no I said: "yes the left do have a problem with their pro terrorist anti Semitic wing." - that was my first sentence, I am talking about the left not Labour. my second sentence offers more information..."Rodders is wrestling with that in the Labour party. " - that's not saying that Labour were included in the "left" referred to in the OP, it's augmenting the original statement. Is illiteracy a growing issue with the left?
Fair enough tora… should have directed my query only at danny.
The people involved in this were probably not Labour party members so the gibe about anti-semitism and the Labour party is irrelevant4 unless proven otherwise.
It is also true as gromit says that you do not have to be anti-Semitic to be anti israel. It is probably true that the left and far left as here target Israel, and they mau well be anti-Semitic but they don't have to be. The point surely is that extremists of left or right can descend to ugly and violent behaviour, to be condemned, as this most certainly was.
I wonder if Corbyn was leading the protests. He,after all is one of the most well known anti-semite and Jew hater in the UK?
You see I don't think Corbyn hates Jews. Although he plainly doesn't like Israel.
He's just a gormless campaigner who can't join the dots.
He wouldn't be alone in that of course.
funny how ymb assumes some jeering students are representative of the entire left, while never suggesting a corrupt, dictatorial and incompetent prime minister represents the right, even though he's their actual elected leader.
