So TROB have back tracked after public revulsion. Can we now fire anyone who ever thought it was a good idea to let this lowlife out of the slammer?

Very good news indeed.
Excellent news.

TROB become BORT then?
Good. The only place for him.
Good news indeed.

Te sad thing is that, had there not been a public outcry, this piece of slime would be out on the streets. Anyone who wanted to let this guy out has no place in public office.
Good news.

Just occasionally, a decision is so indefensible, and causes such dismay, that the people concerned are shamed into backtracking on it.

I think I heard on the news that this case has caused a review of parole procedures in general, particularly with regard to them having to disclose the reasoning and justification behind their decisions - which I don't think they did in this case - part of the reason it caused such outrage in the first place.
Excellent. Not sure how much longer he will be imprisoned, hopefully till he is 90 years old.

luders there can be no reasoning and justification in this case. The people that thought it was ok to let this low life out have serious problems and need to get help. They are certainly un fit to be on the parole board.
Couldn't agree more TTT. Problem is they are protected by their TROB mates so will never get shifted.
good, but this was only for another two years, then they will look at his case again, at least he should have got life, no parole, scumbag.
// luders there can be no reasoning and justification in this case. //

Exactly, which is why it's been overruled. I think the review means that in future they'll have to explain how they arrive at these decisions, which can only be good. They might have to come up with something better than 'He said he's sorry and has behaved himself in prison', when they know it'll be subject to scrutiny.
