On a very busy afternoon is it really the time to park in one of the few disabled spots at The supermarket - and then when challenged to have the arrogance to say ‘I can afford the fine’ probably knowing full well that he won’t get caught
Now I have a photo of the car so how can I make life just that little bit more difficult for him? Perfectly legally of course

Put the kettle on instead - let it go. I know it's infuriating.

Put the kettle on instead - let it go.

I know it's infuriating.
Put it on your FB page? Might end up with more trouble than it's worth of course.
Is it illegal to park in disabled spaces in a supermarket then or just rude?
If your local town has a Facebook page, post it on there (and be prepared for the comments!)
It's not illegal, although it may breach the terms and conditions of the car park owner who may choose to impose a fee to those who use the bay without displaying a blue badge. This condition must be clearly displayed.

Just forget it, Ric.ror

I’ve calmed down now
We used to get this often Ric, some people are so selfish, don't get wound up about as happens all the time.

I think one of you needs Therapy tbh.
i read some place that they are going to start charging for disabled bays, not sure if that is supermarkets or what.
Many councils, private car parks and hospitals do charge for disabled parking, emmie.

The problem is that blue badge holders can park for up to three hours on double yellow lines so many councils prefer them to park for nothing in the car park than clog busy roads up.
Frustrating though isn't it, Ric?

I have never wanted free parking but I did, with both MrG and the little boy I cared for who had Perthes Disease, want and need the extra space the disabled person's parking gave me.....
Struggling with a Perthes buggy as I tried to get myself out of the space between the two leg braces as the large child hung onto my ears for dear life was bad enough....
But to do it and then watch some fit numpty run to their car in a wide disabled parking spot that I would have really appreciated does make you want to....sign up for therapy?.... ;-)

I’m guessing it’s probably me Baldric

I did let him know in no in certain terms what I thought of him
A lot of inconsiderate people out there I'm sorry to say. Let it go not worth getting upset about it. Even though it's very frustrating.
gness, in that situation I just stop the car in the middle of a lane with the hazard lights on and get the disabled person in to the chair and safely out of the way before parking in a standard bay. It's the only way.
I've done that with MrG, Hc.....but with this child and the performance it was I just couldn't do that in every situation.....it would mean leaving him at some point and he wasn't a child you'd trust alone for five minutes!
Though had he been kidnapped he'd have soon been returned.... :-)
I think a tin of budget baked beans poured over the car would have been worth the investment.

I'm not sure I would actually do it though.
or perhaps bird seed.
Baked Beans and then the Birdseed Hopkirk. Plus a discreetly placed nail or screw under the back tyre?
It happens every day in the car park of the Co-op in my village, and I find it very ignorant, especially when there are dozens of other spaces available.
Togo, that might be called criminal damage. However with bird seed I suspect any copper called would just laugh.
