Yes, Tofu - the Fu is Fu' (from 'full', I expect), good Scottish word for 'drunk'.

I've just checked - Chambers and my Chambers Scots dictionary both have 'fou' = drunk,not 'fu'. I only ever heard it said as I grew up!

Okay, thanks. Maybe I'm missing the obvious. Do you mean as in go to the judge/go before the judge? I don't see why the FU means drunk unless it's a well known Scottish word for drunk (there is no instruction to shorten 'full')
