Watching Tv

Is there an app (or some such)that will allow me to watch live TV without a connection to a dish or aerial? I have a reliable WIFI signal but have been told I can only watch BBC live, other channels can only be accessed as a catch up service. Thanks in advance, Carl

What is the make and model and have you checked the apps already installed and available to download?

Sorry! ATM I've got an old Sony in the kitchen and use a video sender from the living room but the interference and constant fiddling with the aerial is driving me mad! I thought I buy a smart telly and use the house WIFI instead.
