Just handing her a cake in a box or wrapping she was bound to pack it away, has she a car? it's easy take home if she had a car but trying to cart a cake about on public transport, Bicycle or walking it be better eat it at work
No, straydog, I'm amused and bemused that this happens, I think she's very mean. We (the Royal we) don't announce our birthdays or advertise them, loved ones remember them and surprise us with gifts - a surprise if we get gifts ;) I know social media changes all that now depending on how you set it but no, I'd never bring a cake to work or anywhere, it's like begging (just my opinion as I never heard of this before)
Wherever I worked, Ducksie....we brought the cakes in on our birthday.....(mine's 29th May).....it wasn't to announce, advertise or beg...I'd never do that..... it's just the way it always was....
I enjoyed making lots of fun cakes to bring in for my birthday..... on the 29th May.......
Well.....29th May was always half term so I brought them in before or after the 29th May....... ;-)....x
