Watched a concert she did at the Royal Albert hall the other week.
She puts so much energy into it. She never stopped. Though I'm amazed she got away with some of the content of the show, very near the knuckle and beyond.
What puzzled me though, she died this year of cancer didn't she? She seemed the picture of health and fitter than a butchers dog.
I checked the date at the end of the recording, it said MMXVI. That's this year.
I don't understand.

Having a had quite a lot of experience of people with cancer, one of the things that I have learned is that as far as cancer in concerned one should expect the unexpected. People with cancer can look really well and tick along quite easily but they can then go down hill really quickly.
The programme may be dated 2016 but am sure the content from The Royal Albert Hall was quite a bit earlier.
//What is it about?

A filmed performance of the comedian’s one-woman show at the Royal Albert Hall, from her 2001 career.

It’s a show featuring the comedian typically penetrating the observations of mundane life.

Having performed at the hall a whopping 47 times, Victoria Wood holds the Royal Albert Hall record for both the longest run of shows by a female headline artist and the longest run of shoes by a comedian.//

Thank you Mamya. I thought she couldn't have filmed it this year.

Was this the one Caran?

If you ever get the chance to see Dillie Keane I can thoroughly recommend her show. There's quite a bit of similarity in her style to some of Victoria Wood's stuff and she certainly doesn't hold back on content. Her song about wanting to be a lesbian, with references to turkey basters, etc leaves everyone thinking "I didn't really hear her sing that, did I?", while falling about laughing at the same time. Unfortunately it's not on Youtube but this is typical of her work:

Brilliant. Thanks, Buenchico. I've seen her show. Really fun. She is enormously talented.
She's great, Chris.
