At the risk of upsetting other quizmailers, I need some help please. with the films on p7.
I have answers to all , but not sure about 127 & 129.
131 also iffy.

127 is def James Cagney - 1940's film set artly in prison
129 is John Mills - 1950's POW camp.
Do these clues fit more than 1 film each?
Many thanks

might 129 be ice cold in Alex?
James Cagney 1940 ....The Fighting 69th
John Mills 1950 ... Morning Departure... Submarine Film
oooh yeah ice cold was 1958,  bravo Kos.
on further investigation John Mills was also in the Colditz Story (1955).
if the Cagney film is anywhere in the 1940s, rather than just 1940, White Heat (1949) is the best known
.... but, belatedly looking at the title of your question, it isn't a war film
saints alive prob should have called this Q prison films.
I'm toying with white heat and colditz story at the moment.
