Lie-in King is correct it is COLES I looked it up.
Wordplays gets crossword answers wrong all the time as do some other sites.

I have seen cole in the dictionary which indeed gives it as brassica but does not give it as an 'archaic' term.
I will accept that. Out with the Tipp-Ex
