Just been out to Porthtowan (Togo-land, as to holidays) to pick up the Order of Service cards for my god-daughter's wedding in ten days - they are now en route to London.

Coming back through the lanes, we went through Mount Hawke. Driving into the village someone had carefully whitened out the village road sign Under 'Mount Hawke' it read 'Please d i e carefully in the Village.'

Any other gems like this?

Once saw a sign pointing out an almost invisible desert track in Israel - the villages name was Gerofit - maybe their equivalent of keep off the grass.

I love 'Little Hope Baptist Church,' wolfie......

Yes, fred, just as well the f fell off at some point...... there is a village of that name minus the hall in Austria and they had to replace the village signs with 5 tonne lumps of rock as English speakers were always nicking them. Let's see if this works http://static.euronews.com/articles/182556/1200x630_182556_austrian-village-***-set-for-nam.jpg?1334758453

Spot the English-speakers on the Metro when they see this, titter, titter and photos all around.
