Saying nowt talbot
No. I often mislay my glasses, but I would feel truly old if I wore them on a chain around my neck. I'm not quite there yet.
Well done for writing a novel and learning a language in six days, though. :))

Nay would not make you look old ,sophisticated (spelling ) aye .I get that bet he's on the second novel look at the bookmakers
No can't see without them so only take them off in the shower and in bed I even swim in them.
I am conscious that wearing one of those cords is only the next step to wandering around Littlewoods or BHS, looking for beige cardigans, so I am holding off for another year or two !
My sunglasses are attached to a cord. I find it quite convenient in that when you don't need them (going into a building etc) you don't have to be searching for a pocket to stuff them into: just whip 'em off and let 'em dangle.
i wear mine on top of my head when not in use ... i only look for them when i've forgotten they are there

Stuey...I frequently whip mine out and let them dangle !
Have tried them but kept garrotting myself - I fly around at a million miles an hour and they got caught up on handles, bushes and the stable doors etc.
One time i forgot my usual pair, and used the spare pair in the glove compartment. Walked into a store; whipped then off; let them dangle; and they dangled all the way to the floor and broke...No cord on the spare pair:)
Mrs B has distant and reading glasses, normally one pair used as an Alice band and the other pair in use, sometimes she forgets where they are and ends up with both pairs on her head.
Mikey, I figured someone would grab onto that:)
Stuey.....has your Big Freeze arrived yet ?

In other words, is it Mrs Stueys time to start putting the bins out yet ?
I lost my glasses on xmas day :-( I might get a chain when I get the new ones.
Minus 4 this morning. It's been snowing all night, and it looks and "feels" like an all-dayer.
You've written a novel in just 6 days, weecalf! That is very impressive; just how many words does it consist of and when do we see it in print?
Hi weecalf, you've just reminded me that I do have two! I'm going to dig them out, completely forgot a out them, they're very handy!
I wrote the first chapter of a novel in six minutes.

"Weecalf wrote his latest tome in six days, Talbot questioning if it was written in English. Retrocop was called in to investigate this, New Judge sitting on his bench, pint in hand at the Answerbank Village's 'Dog and Bone,' ready to adjudicate on his flatfoot findings concerning this alleged thriller.

Mrs Overall was in the murky shadows, lurking, Sabatier knife to hand in her yellow marigolds, the very thought that someone could impersonate her in quickly written novels. The plot was set and what would happen?"

Where is Mrs O, by the way?

Lol Dt, I read that in the style of Kenneth Williams! Couldn't help not!
