Mr Tinks isnt as charitable.

I gave a man some cans of juice (i had a slab of cans in my car boot) and some money and mr T cant understand why.

I also donate to local foodbank when i can. I actually cried shopping for it thinking about little kids who have nothing. Not everyone who relies on handouts are "lazy" etc...

Well aware some people are "at it" though... X
Oh of course some are, Tinks.....but we can't deny those who do need help just because of a few bad ones.....think Karma......☺

Totally agree gness....

Hope it is never me....if it is...hope someone gives me a few squid xx
I was once approached by a young man on my way to shop at my local Sainsbury's. He stated that he had not eaten or had a coffee for two days as he was homeless and asked me to spare some money for a coffee from Mc Donald's directly opposite. I gave him a fiver and suggested he get a burgher as well.. I did my shopping at Sainsbury and then visited the next door Wetherspoon Pub as I always do. I was beaten to it by same young man who turned my milk of human kindness into two pints of beer. Never Ever again.
I usually keep a couple of quid in change when I go down town for the less fortunate,as they say there but for fortune.
Indeed, Paddy.....thrown out at fifteen it could easily have been me.
I used to sit with a girl in town a few years ago for a chat and to give her some money......It would have been easy to think...she should be working but I got to know why she couldn't...and it didn't hurt me at all...in fact she was a lovely friend for a while...x

If I have a pound or so to spare I would rather give it to a person than to a charity run by well fed, highly paid so-called do-gooders.

Dont get me wrong im sure it was one of my parents who got a mouthfull for giving someone a mcdonalds or an M&s sandwich (i might be merging two stories here)..... Person wanted the dosh told them to shove the food up their you know what LOL!!!!!!

I had a degree and no job. Lucky i had family and an "address" which allowed me to sign on for a while....could easily be someone x
Some of those charities are struggling in the current economic climate. Not all are well fed do-gooders...some also struggle to make ends meet. Give a thought to small, local charities
Such as?
Question Author
Yes pasta...i bought a full trolley of goods for local foodbank at xmas....im not saying it was all branded..it wasnt...but my gosh i got alot for my money and i hope it helped some folks out..x
A very good friend of mine was a RSPCA Inspector. He left in disgust because most of the charitable donations fed some ex army Officer who was the Director. Little money per annum went to the welfare of animals.
