I am off to Faro on Tuesday and just realised I don't have a European health card, can I get one pronto ?

Dee....that happened to me....I phoned them and as long as they are processing it you don't need to have it with you..is what they told me...x

Having said that....it arrived very quickly so you could have it by Tuesday...x

thank you both, I rang them and apparently I have a card valued to 2017 [ forgot I ever had one !] will send one in post and have given me a number to ring should I need hospital treatment as they will fax over to the hospital.
So alls well that ends well.

You need Health Insurance too - relying on the EHIC is really not enough.

You can get an annual policy for as little as £23 (I've just renewed mine).
