I would say they would - surely they have to follow the address.

But if he collected it, took it to the sorting office, it might take a few days to get back. I meant wait until he went to collect the post from the post box
Have you already done it. If so, it would follow the procedures of any other post. You know 1st class - next day, 2nd class - two days later etc.
If prescription is urgent you would need to get another from your GP.
Ring or go to the sorting office, they might be able to fish it out straight away. The risk with an open envelope, of course, is that the scrip might fall out - so best to alert them to look out for it. They might take it back to the GP.
Boxtops - it does work - in this case it was an envelope with a cheque in it! Sorting office in town was able to tell the posty to look for the envelope when the box was emptied.
Well, that's a piece of very good news, tuvok!
rules is rules Sandy

Waiting around a pillar box for the postie to empty it - is a no-no
there is a rule they cant give you the thingey

I would have thought another rule would force them to deliver it and charge for an unstamped envelope....

Nothing wrong with opened envelopes - if you recollect in the Good Old Day when a letter cost 3d - the unsealed ones went at 2 1/2 d

I'll phone the GP later this morning for another script. There's no great urgency. And we'll see what we see as far as the one in the pillar box is concerned.
