If you are applying for your tax disc on line beware of a company called TaxDiscDirect. They will supply you with a new disc alright but charge an extra £40 for doing it. Use the web site mentioned on the DVLA form - dont search through Google

Can't imagine people being so daft but there's always some. Good advice
It's the same with the EHIC, European Health Insurance Card, there were web sites that charged you for something that's free.

I think a good clue to the real site is it will have 'www.Gov.uk' in the address.
Google can be a right [insert relevant term here] at times.
I suspect all search engines now pray to Mammon.

Caveat emptor OG!
What scammers, I've just looked at the site and it looks pretty much just like the official gov one, same orange tabs etc etc
It does look the same as the DVLA website, but they ask for your Reg No and not the identification number supplied by, same.

Right at the bottom, it states that they charge £40 for this service.

Rip off !!!'mm
Where did those mmmmms come from? Lol.
Probably a good rule in primitive societies Baldric where laws aren't all they should be.
The domain name is registered to Belcanto Investment Group Limited, based in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Since the company appears to own a further 12,874 domain names, they won't need many mugs on each website to make a great deal of money.
Good warning,.deva - we only ever go to the site on our reminder notice.
Isn't the tax disc being abolished soon?
October I believe, paddywak.
Yes October I think, but that's just the piece of paper. You'll still have to buy it.
