Last one: 8D: Resorts next to place going north (9) Y_L_A. I think it must be YALTA - a resort. I can see LAY going up [LAY = PLACE 'as in lay a bet']. Not sure about the TA [or AT going north] and wondering about Resorts being in the plural - or does it mean Re-sorts? Help please.

at reversed i.e.going north
next to = at
next to = AT, place = LAY, and reverse the lot to get YALTA a resort on the Black Sea
as for the plural, it seems that it ought to be resort's
