It's a shame there's no way of accommodating long names better or allowing posters to shorten them. Sometimes they throw out the screen layout for me
why not just choose a shorter name?
It's not obvious when one chooses a username that it causes this problem; it's happened to me before I chose this one.
It would seem a good idea to restrict names for new users to say 12 characters.
For established users though, changing the name would mean losing their history of questions asked/answered/badges etc
Well now he knows...The question needs to be four returns after the beginning on the box. I am interested to know if you can do this....
Well you can with an answer. :)
although it still shows up on the first line when it comes up. It's a conundrum. If Graham is a new user it might be worth changing his name..
