14 d. Shop over which bird weed (9)

I have K???G?A?S.

Please don't tell me the answer, just a further clue.
Is the answer a noun (type of shop), or a verb (to shop), or the name of a weed, or to weed?

Having typed this, I can see it might be knotgrass. I get the grass bit but not the knot, so to speak!
