Help for sunday life cryptic

Am stuck on last one...............8 across
Unfinished top copy a?e ( if neap tides is right( current changes showing little rise and fall ) then the e of neap gives me the last letter of the 3 letter clue. Hope someone can enlighten me............am stuck.
