I am sure I have missed the very obvious, but I can't seem to work this one out.

27(a) Shrink taking car round course ? Just the opposite.(8)

I have ?i?i?i?t and the only word which seems to fit is "Minimist" and I don't know what this means. Presumably the car referred to is "Mini:

Some help please.

diminish (shrink) - 'mini' (car) inside 'dish' (course)
diminish ( dish = course round mini )
