is there a theme to this? or number of letters in answer?

Thanks Yellow Peril for your help. The theme of the Quiz is steam locomotives & there are no numbers given.
does 59 really end in "exp"?
80 horse ie iron horse?
35 Think of MrVicious's first name.
42 Think of a racing driver called Nige and add 'u'
80 engines are know as iron horses - so I looked up Zorro's one.

Have you got the answer to 52?? Just can't work it out. I'm unsure of my answers for 42 and 59.

Thanks all for your help it's very much appreciated, I can't really help you snailranch as I seem to have the same answer for both 52 & 72 (knowle)

52. Is a place down South. As 17071948 google the anagram of knower.

72. Is correct.
52. Find an anagram of 'knower', (there are a few) and google each until you find the equivalent place name of an English Southern County.

Must be a bad day as I still cannot find the answer to 52 Knower scrambled by another name despite having googled all the words I found.
I still also need 74 You can only cast this to the left when fishing.
The anagram is 'kernow', now google that and then check against list. It is there on my list.
74. Left in seafaring language and use for fishing.

Thanks furrypusscat you are being so helpful & patient, I had used the answer presumably Cornwall for 79 You will find Brown Willy & more so still have 2 to go,
just going to try your clue for 74 & then give up for this evening.
74. Summit of Brown Willy is highest point in this place in Cornwall.
Sorry that clue is for 79 not 74.
