is there a difference between prophesy and prophecy or is it just two different spellings of the same word

sory just realised i posted it in the wrong section
Prophesy is the verb; prophecy is the noun.
(Thus it is similar to advise/ advice or practise/ practice)
The two words are, of course, pronounced differently. The verb with 'sy' is pronounced prof-e-sigh and the noun is prof-e-see...with 'sigh' as in a long breath.
