l went to my l-tunes library before, next to all the songs was a black circle with an i in it.. when l tried to play that particular track an i-tunes pop-up appeared, telling me it couldn`t play the track as it "could not locate the source & would l like to locate it".. luckily l had all the tracks on my own file... does anybody have an idea what happened and why...

It's because you changed the location of the file after you added it to the itunes library. If you change any of the folder names that contain the song file, it also does this, as it can no longer find such a song in the location it was given originally.
