er, it is one of the basic philosophical topics and formed the title of a Monty Python movie. As to the meaning of the meaning of life, it's hard to say but I think gen2 is probably correct.

you really should stop watching 'the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy' gen2 & jno, and i believe the phrase came from australia because until quite recently it was called "no mans land" and supposedly man has lived there longer than anywhere else on the planet, as for what it means, i would say whatever you wanted it to mean/how you lived your life and how you're going to live the rest of it
