Update On My Brother Gallbladder Surgery
10 Answers
My brother has quite complicated surgery to remove his gallbladder 2 weeks ago it was not straight forward as the gallbladder had ruptured and the stones had torn his liver. He has been signed off for 2 weeks upon discharge but he is still not driving yet and he has a 30 mile very heavy commute via 3 motorways in the North West. So his GP has signed him off for another fortnight. He is still not eating much. He says he is afraid to. I mean he told me last night he had a small portion of breaded haddock vegetables and boiled potatoes and had nausea and stomach cramps all night.

However, if he's experiencing problems when eating, he needs to go back to his GP (or possibly to speak to a pharmacist) to explain his problems. It might be that all he needs is some form of medication to bring those problems under control. Tell him to start hassling for some help!

I will ask him. I thought breaded would be better than battered. I remember going to Saltburn by the sea to visit relatives who took us out for a meal. My dad had battered fish and chips a huge plate and i remember him being up all night crawling on the floor in pain, that was 4 months before he had his gallbladder out. If I go out for a chippy I always take breaded instead of battered.
