I can't see if there's anyone called June on the Tory party list.

But who could possibly take over with any credibility?

I've seen Boris and Reese-Moog mentioned - but clearly they are not serious contender as they have little mass appeal.

Who are some likely candidates to fill Mrs May's leopard print heels?

how about David davies?

June. :-)
Good idea to read the question fully Tilly.

Anyway, I hope it's someone who wants the job and can bring a little respect back to the party.
You got me there, Zacs!
David Davis is a strong possibility. I have always admired him and was disappointed when he lost out to Cameron back in 2005.
may has said she will not go ?
Ruth Davidson?

Oh no, silly me, wrong wing.
May can say what she likes. She's an albatross for the cons at the moment. There will be more than one plot to oust her being hatched in darkened corners of the Palace of Westminster as we write.
Nobody springs to mind who has any mass appeal, which is what is needed.
May may have no choice. She is now seriously damaged goods.
only Davis seems strong enough to push....Ruth Davidson could certainly do it , but not known enough in Westminster..very strong up here now !
Maybe not this time but I think that Ruth Davison is a potential leaderine. Who'd have thought that the Scots would save the Conservatives?

May will probably be wondering what the sharp, cold pain just below her back ribs are very shortly!

David Davis is slightly more popular than May right now - but is tarnished with the preliminary warm-ups for a Brexit negotiation?

I was surprised when Cameron won. What a disaster he was.

Can you think of anyone who might do it Zacs?
zebo..as I predicted ..Tory gains through tactical voting to block Nicola... mea culpa !
Boris or David Davis
Ruth isn't an MP though.
Boris or David Davis. Leadsom/ Gove?
can't an MSP be nominated for PM ?
I don't think Boris is suitable PM material, a lot of people regard him as a bit of a buffoon.
so she stays in power, contrary to those who thought she would step down..
