Paleo.....is that eating dinosaurs?

No wonder they're extinct!
;o)
Son in law switched to vegetarian
Not had an asthma attack since
Not a really radical change but I stopped eating anything sweet years ago. I do not have/ take sugar with anything. I don't eat cake, biscuits, sweets, chocolate, desserts....anything which is remotely sweet.

I know there is hidden sugar in some products but I do try to avoid them. My biggest bugbear is bread......I find most bread far too sweet and it spoils my sandwich.

However, I do like a sausage roll.
So many things seem too sweet to me these days especially if they are not home made
I changed to low carb about 5 years ago. I'd always been a comfort eater and was capable of eating whole packs of biscuits,donuts...huge plates of rice or pasta. I was addicted. It had to stop. I'd read about a low carb diet that sounded like it might suit me...it was a lifestyle change, and has suited me well. Every once on a while I slip...and feel like rubbish when I do...joints ache, fatigue, bloat. If I eat carbs now,I stick to carby veg or sometimes brown rice. No pasta....(I need a name change!).
Pasta, does wholewheat pasta not suit you either?
At my age and my previous ailments I am past redemption. I am just going to continue to do what I want,as long as it is legal and doesn't upset my fellow man.One of the next load of medical procedures I have lined up for me,already, for 2016 will probably kill me any way so why should I die miserable? Might even take up smoking again. Always missed that from day one. Nearly 10 years ago. :-)
Love red meat and most of the things that were part of a staple diet years ago but now the diet stazi say is bad.
What 'can' you eat, Retro?
No me! I just try not to eat convenience foods.
No Tilly....no wheat. If I start eating bread...or biscuits...I'll just plow through the lot. Really. And like you,I try to keep away from sugar. The only sweet I permit myself is very high cacoa content chocolate...has very little sugar in it.
Scratch cooking's the best thing to do.
Don't listen to all the diet stazi, retro. Just stick to wholesome, unprocessed food...that includes meat.
Pasta, as you said, you need a name change. 'No Pastafreak' :-)
Life without liquorice allsorts......
o bored trying to find new ways of seasoning chicken and salmon
Lol Tilly...maybe just "freak"... Eeek!

At my stage of life and ill health anything I bloody well like. :-)
Daisy...I marinated my salmon tonight in olive oil,soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, spring onions and a 1/2 TSP of marigold powder. Chilli could go in too.
