Has there been any research on the effects these might have on the health of their users?
As they don't produce tar it's likely they couldn't be as bad as ordinary cigarettes.

Hi, Sandy......I'm pretty sure they contribute to or cause glue ear..... but that is my opinion and not based on any research I've done....

How are you getting on with yours?
I'll watch this thread, I was bought one as a Christmas pressie haven't tried it yet though.
Not as bad as cigs, Tony.....and think about it.....glue ears makes you deaf...something married men are prone to anyway.....☺
That's selective deafness, Gness
Wot....... wot did you just say, gness ;-)
Did Psybbo just say something !

hiya, psybbo.
Puzzled - why on earth would they give you glue ear ( or was that a joke that passed me by?)
Hi Tony, Sandy, Gness and Margo
Not a joke, Margo.....just a theory of mine.....well with a bit of try and test...x
Margo
ciggie smoke is certainly a contributory factor to glue ear as our family knows. Maybe the E cigarette vapour does the same.
Hi, Psyb......x

There is some info on the side effects of e-cigs....glue ear does seem to be one of them....
Well I have never heard that before! I learn something new every day. I am seriously thinking about giving these a whirl, anybody got any advice as to the best ones? Very good morning to everybody.
Margo...I think it may have been Daffy who told me about Smoke Relief...
I googled and ordered some....much cheaper than my others.
I think there may be a starter kit still on offer so if you're going to try I would say give these a go.....x
I cannot understand why E cigarettes are banned in Pubs etc yet the government want cigarette packaging to be plain to discourage smokers.
I gave up 6 years ago and am still addicted to tobbaco. I would not like to go back to the days when a bar was full of dirty, smelly ash trays, a thick haze and your clothes smelling of stale nicotine for weeks. I see a couple of young chaps regularly puffing their E cigarettes in my local but very clandestinely as it is not allowed. The vapour does not smell and doesn't want to make me dash over the road and buy a packet of tobacco and papers. As far as I can see they are doing no one any harm apart, maybe themselves. If they are not to be encouraged to buy real tobacco why discourage them for using a substitute. It might help them give up entirely.
Thanks Gness, I will look into that. Have you now actually stopped smoking 'the real thing'?
Retro, no I can't understand it either. I would really not like to go back to smokey pubs even though I smoke myself but can't really see why e cigs are banned except that the theorists reckon they would encourage people to start smoking.
Margo....I actually prefer the e-cigs now....but once in a blue moon I buy a packet of Richmond menthol....just so the kids don't think they've won the battle......☺
Gness - just had a look on line and the starter pack is £29.95 so I think I will order and see how I get on. You sound like me - a little stubborn streak in there!
STOP MARGO.....NOT THAT MUCH!
Just had a look, Margo.....that one is the Deluxe.....you will eventually need two batteries....but you could buy the one that's £9.95 to see if you like them. That's what I did but I already had a couple of spare batteries which fit.........up to you.........x
Standing joke in our family OH and son call me 'mule'!!
