My sister is shall I say OCD particularly regarding mats.

Bought herself a new one maybe yesterday or the day before - she says she couldn't stick it as when you walk on it you see your footprints (ie shaded etc)

Run her home tonight and she asked me to look at the mat (she paid £100) for it.

She was giving it to her neighbours but I have taken it home and will put it down tomorrow. Probably her saying about the footprints in the sand will make me funny about it.

Anything to stop these footprints - or will I learn to live with it. Mind you light coloured mats don't last long with me as I spill something nearly every other day. Thanks for any advice.

live with it, harv might liked it.
Try laying the mat in different directions so the nap falls different ways. You may find a position where the footprints are less noticeable.

Thanks Graham - perhaps I'll get a lover and him and I will lie on it LOL
I have one like this Connie and it drives me mad. I keep lifting it up and shaking it to get rid of the footmarks and this is not easy as it is a big carpet.
My daughter loves it though, she thinks the foot prints make it look expensive. Because I live alone I find that I can walk around it so saving me any bother.
Permit only people with size 2 feet or less to walk on it. Zac and Tony are out in terms of visiting then.......
Hmmmm. Thinks, that could make some interesting prints .
Well Gness has size 2 feet so beware
If it is a loose pile and deep pile it will continue to occur whilst new. Over time it will end down and footprints will be less noticeable.
