I'm planning to take 3 photos of our son, 8, and putting them into a frame which is designed to holds 3 photos in a row. However, I'm not sure of what would be the best poses to do. I was thinking see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil but I'm not sure about that. I could take random photos that I've got already but does anyone have any better ideas? By the way as he is 8 I'm thinking 3 fun poses or at least one of them fun.

If you are doing a triptych have one with your son facing forward, one facing left and one facing right. Mount them with the one facing forward in the centre and the other two facing in towards that one.
What does he enjoy doing?
From what I know of 8 yr old boys they are pretty active!
Can you not take a whole string of photos - using "burst mode" on your digital camera - and then pick out a sequence of 3 that will tell a story?

when my granddaughter was about a week old, my daughter passed her to me and said, "Keep her awake, Dad!" This is nigh on impossible with a sleepy 7day old but fortunately my wife had my camera at the ready and just fired shot after shot getting the progression of wide-awakeness, droopy eyelids and finally full zonked-outness. Three of these photos have long had pride of place in our lounge under the heading of "Going, going, gone"
Any help?

In fairness, at his age there is little posing, he won't stay still. So the burst mode in everyday activities may be a possibility. But if anyone has another interpretation I'm interested.
I saw a similar set of photographs at a friends house recently, his son is eight and always on the go. He was photographed riding his bike and the first one showed the front wheel and part of the handlebars, the middle was the boy himself and the third was the rear wheel.Admittedly there was only one photo of the boy but the three together certainly gave the impression of a boy on the move.
