Why do parents etc take kids shopping and to church when they know they are going to create mayhem! Kids hate shopping unless it is for them and as for church if you have no one to look after them don't go, God will forgive you!

err, perhaps because they don't want to leave them at home on their own?

Don't have to leave them at home stay with them or get a sitter!
no babysitters available, Im sure the parents dont enjoy bringing children shopping when they know it will be stressful..
blimey, could you afford a babysitter every time you needed to get food???
- Perhaps the said parents don't have someone to babysit the kids.

- The parents might want to teach the children how to shop and spend money wisely, getting good value for their money.

- The parents want the children to learn about God, and fellowship.

3 to 4 year old kids aren't interested in God or Economics!
not everyone has the infrastructure of family and friends arond them to be able to organise babysitting for everyday things such as shopping etc.
do you suggest we lock them in the house and not let them learn about the world until they are 16?

Not only kids hate shopping husbands as well, watched them yesterday in our local shopping centre totally bored tagging along with wives girlfriends, look on their faces saying, I'd rather be watching football having a pint with the mates!!
I am sure most parents wouldn't take them if they had the choice. And anyway, that's not very "Christian" of you to suggest that children have no place in a church! Didn't Jesus say something about "suffer little children to come unto me"? Sorry not religious in the slightest, but surely the whole point is for the whole community to come together and worship rather than just a weekend jolly for the coffin dodgers?
... you might as well ban all old people from shopping at the weekends cos they just get in the way of people who can only go at the weekends.
JTH you are missed. ;-(
If I were you I would shop at a different time or refrain from staring at people who are just trying to get their shopping done.
Easy, you involve them - give them some responsibility, it works, I've tried it.
As for church, I wouldn't inflict christian church on any child in my care.

Annie I know Jesus said Suffer Little Children To Come On to Me, but he's not there in Church and Sainsburys when little children are inflicting their suffering on to us! I have kids and grandchildren love them to bits!
Why don't we create a society that's just for adults? Maybe parents want to spend time with their children but have to do things as well - we don't all have nannies to look after the children till mummy can fit in half an hour of 'quality time'. What did your parents do with you when you were a child?
God is here ,there and everywhere...
