According to a recent poll they have decided that women have better memories than men! I don't think they need a poll to come up with this! Women always remember birthdays, anniversaries, appointments etc, when have you ever heard a women say, where's my keys, my socks, what time is my appointment etc!!

but also in paper today, pear shaped women are more likely to forget things

Thank goodness I am Apple shaped!
Well I admit to being pear shaped but my memory is razor sharp - much to my BF's annoyance since his is TERRIBLE.
men dont bring a lot to the table memory wise, their ability for spatial awareness must make up for it.
...hence my need to make continual lists, otherwise I forget everything... I put it down to having too much to remember, if I don't write it down it's gone.
I have an excellent memory, every numerical detail that I need is all stored away in my head, phone numbers, account details, dates, statistics ect
I wish I did cazz - or perhaps it's there, I just can't pull it out at the right time. One thing I no longer remember is phone numbers - short dialling and the mobile phone directory has put a stop to that.
the downside for me is that I remember phone numbers from 1980 that in 2010 I dont need!
My memory is not good! I struggle to remember what planet I am on most of the time! I blame having a very hectic life!............but in fairness my memory was never very good, and is certainly worsening!.......................
who are you then?
Cazz - that is a problem I have too! I can remember my first ever boyfriend's address and telephone number and that must have been in about 1985! Sometimes I think my head is just too full.

Strangly I remember odd things though. I don't remember the day I met by BF (at the time, I didn't think it would be important), however, I remember something that I said to someone that weekend and as a result I know it was precisely 3 weeks before I went on holiday. Thus I can say that this weekend is our one year anniversary!!! YAY!!!!
people tend to better remember things that are important to them regardless of sex.
Well how come my BF can remember absolutely nothing? Car keys, wallet, phone, important appointments, to lock the house up, to take his keys before slamming the self locking door, to fill up the car with petrol, to water the plant, to take the food out of the oven he has decided to cook himself. He is dreadful!
this stuff is not important to him maybe?

is there anything he does remember well?
Nope, not a thing. I have to remind him about absolutely everything. I normally have to tell him what day it is. Having said that though, i think he operates on a different intellectual plane to us mere mortals.

(As for remembering his keys not being important, it gets bloody important when I am away for the day, it's snowing, he has no petrol and no money on him so he is stuck in the drive for 8 solid hours. lol)
I have a selective memory.... I remember trivia but not the important things, I dont even remember my wedding anniversary, I know its in September, the early part probably the 8th or 9th ( I bet I'm wrong)
lol he is lucky he has you!

I can remember my 16 digit bank card no, pin numbers and phone numbers, must be something that is inbred in your memory you know you have to remember them!
I lied. He can tell me every sale price of every car he has watched on ebay for what feels like the last 24 years.
lol, he even can't remember his pin number. Every time he goes to the bank he has to ask me what it is!!!! If I'm feeling malicious I swap the two sets of numbers round.
