Hello, I am no benefit expert however, as no one has answered your question I will share my limited knowledge. Incap Benefit is given to your partner as she is unable to work??  Therefore my first thought was that it would change into pension and pension credit see link: http://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk/pensioncredit

However, when i looked at http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/cms.asp?Page=/Home/Customers/WorkingAgeBenefits/492  it does give info on special circumstances which is worth a read.

Also, would your partner be eligible for DLA???

If you want professional guidance on this, then I think that Age Concern offer benefit info service.
