Just watched recorded version of Friday's Corrie, poor Joe, had thriving business, nice flat, money, was happy, then he met the Platts, result - meltdown! Mind you, if I had to live with David Platt think I would resort to the pills too!

I don't understand how the doctor wouldn't help him though - if you are in pain you are in pain, what are you supposed to do? I can't stand David Platt but my mum thinks he's the best in it!!!!!
I think this is a poor storyline for Corrie run with. I cannot believe that his doctor would not have taken him more seriously and helped him with further pain relief or back strengthening exercises, surely they would not have simply said, no more tablets now, you are on your own?
It seems a shame that the writers cannot come up with a happy relationship for Gail, it is about time that they found her someone to settle down with. I understand that the guy who plays Joe is leaving the series, I know the way he goes, but will not spoil it for you if you do not know as of yet!
Always love plots with David in as he is so delicously evil, I remember the family argument they all had one christmas time that was an evil David classic, but they could have come up with something a bit better for him than this one!
Jack Sheperd is a great actor. He said in an interview that Joe is psychologicaly dependant on the tabs. Reece Dynsdale is leaving as he dont want to become typecast.
The storyline is boring, my bf thinks its real. Does my head in with it
That's funny you should say that chinadog because I'd noticed Joe always seemed to pull himself together when Gail was about.
