I have seen loads of couples walking down the street holding hands over the last couple of days and this is in Plymouth of all places which in my view is one of the most violent and disfuctional cities in the uk.

Whats going on this isn't normal??

I think the government are secretly putting something in the water to make us more happy and loving during the depressing and uncertain financial climate.

Shhhhhh don't tell 'them' we know or we'll be abducted and silenced. As he hotel owner in Little Britain says "You know too much!"

awww, i think its nice. I love holding hands as i walk along. :-)

Is Plymouth that bad? I thought it was lovely when i visited a couple of years ago.
I was in Plymouth for 4 days in July - I was quite impressed, although the Barbican area after 8p.m. seemed like one big knocking shop!!
I have a relative in Plymouth, and I'm sure she always holds hands with her hubby.....maybe it was her you saw?

Anyway, I think it's lovely, it is an outward show of affection and saying to other people....'this is my love'

;-)x
I go to Plymouth loads, it's nice there. Saltash is prettier though.

As to the hand holding thing...I really don't give a monkeys. No one wants to hold my hand so I don't want to hold anyone elses so nah.
The reason I hold someone's hand is it stops me falling over!
Have you got warts on your hands CD?
Nah.... Just a dysfunctional personality thankfully, warts are sooo unsightly.
I thought thats what the tartan shopper is for loftie
I always hold Mr O's hand...mainly because I wear 4" heels and there are lots of cobbled streets around here. :)
I don't have the tartan shopper with me on all occasions 4get ;o)!
you can get some lovely coloured fold-up-walking sticks these days lottie. keep one in your bag in case you need it at anytime.
:-)
Loftie I did ask last week but you left the thread, have you ever spotted where I live? You ever seen me there?
My partner and I rarely hold hands in public....................the aggro is quite out of proportion to the act.

But I am a 'holding hands' type of person :o(
I dont hold hands either I hold his finger
Well I have had some guesses as to where you live, but I don't think I have ever seen you!! I was only joking about the funny goings on on a Sunday morning. It was very early when we passed through and hardly anyone around.

Daniela, I can't get on with a walking stick - I am not even quite sure how I am meant to use it. My ankles tend to give out on me and I stumble quite frequently.
what for????
sorry....not what for to you lottie...

what for??? to 4get for holding his finger...

I'm usually up about 8/9. I;m sure you must have figured out where I live. 1st window with the roof
I hold his finger if in a crowd and I dont want to get lost
Which finger 4get? How strange.............
