Is there a limit on how many bags of change I can take into my local bank to deposit into my account? While I have put the right amount in the bags according to denomination ,I have a fair few !!

It entirely depends on your bank.

Some of the ex building societies will take little or no coin.

You shouldn't have a problem with the majors - particularly if you are paying it into an account rather than just trying to change it.
