Bra dilemma

What colour bra would go best under a purple strapless silk dress? Black, white, ivory? Unfortunately, the chances of me getting an exact match colourwise are pretty remote from what I've seen in the shops and online, especially so as I take a larger cup size than normal. Thanks for your ideas!

It would depend whether it was a pale or dark purple dress. If it is pale, I would go for flesh colour, if it is dark purple, something like black would be better.

You could try figleaves.com, they have a good range of colours, or even try dying a white one

I would say it's a lighter purple than dark, but it's got that two-tone look about it and that's why I wondered about black. I think I might be inclined to go for a flesh/ivory coloured bra, having thought about it, especially as the dress isn't designed to be a tight fit round the bust area - in other words, boobies will be on display rather than hidden!

I buy my underwear from Bravissimo but they don't have anything different to what I already have. I had a quick look at figleaves before posting my Q but I'll have another go and see if anything catches my eye.

Thanks for those. I've actually gone for black as my dress was darker than I remembered, and I've bought a bra from Figleaves. I've not seen the Contessa site before, but that's in my Favourites now!
